With the 2000 film Refugee, Kareena Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan made their Bollywood debut. Kareena referred to Abhishek as one of her “closest friends” in a previous interview.
Kareena Kapoor, unquestionably one of Bollywood’s most well-known actors, made her screen debut with Abhishek Bachchan in JP Dutta’s Refugee (2000). She earned a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut in addition to receiving critical accolades for the movie. A month prior to making her screen debut, in May 2000, Kareena talked candidly about her relationship with Abhishek and her thoughts on the actor Amitabh Bachchan, his father.
Kareena had responded, “As an actor, he is better, at least I find him a thousandfold better,” when asked how she would “rank Abhishek Bachchan in the film (Refugee). He is going to surpass his father, Amitabh Bachchan, who was the greatest. I have no doubts about that. He is one of my best pals and a fantastic person.
Kareena remembered her very first scene from Refugee as well. “It was a romantic moment between Abhishek and me,” she declared. He is a personal friend and member of my family, so we felt right at home right away. From the beginning, there was chemistry.”
There was a brief moment in the early 2000s when it was said that Abhishek Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor’s elder sister, Karisma Kapoor, were getting married. At events, Karisma was spotted with the Bachchan family.
Abhishek eventually got divorced and married someone else; in 2007, he wed actress Aishwarya Rai, and in 2003, Karisma got married to businessman Sunjay Kapur, who lived in Delhi. They were blessed with a boy, Kiaan, born in 2010, and a daughter, Samaira, born in 2005.Karisma and Sunjay divorced in 2016.
