Assam development projects are unveiled by PM Modi, who charges Congress with neglecting the Northeast

In Jorhat, the Prime Minister presented a 125-foot bronze statue of Lachit Borphukan, also known as the “Ahom general.”

On March 9, Assam’s development projects valued at ₹17,500 crore were unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

At a Jorhat ceremony, the PM highlighted the initiatives bolstering the housing, oil and gas, health, and railway sectors.

Under the Prime Minister’s Development Initiative for North Eastern Region (PM-DevINE) program, he lay the groundwork for several initiatives. A Hemato-Lymphoid Center in Guwahati and a Medical College and Hospital in Sivasagar are two of these projects.
