The Punjab Congress has taken a serious hit. Dr. Rajkumar Chabbewal, a State Congress MLA, has resigned from both his position as MLA and the party’s primary membership. This information is also available on his Twitter account. Chabbewal became a member of the Aam Aadmi Party.
The 54-year-old Chabbewal represented the Hoshiarpur district as an MLA for the Chabbewal assembly constituency. Through a separate letter, Chabbewal severed connections with the majority of Congressmen as well. He has submitted his resignation to the President of Congress. We can tell you that he hasn’t provided an explanation for his departure from the party as of yet.
The well-known Dalit activist from Punjab’s Doaba area had run for Lok Sabha in 2019 from Hoshiarpur on a Congress ticket. But Som Prakash of the BJP beat him. Gurpreet Singh GP, a former Congress MLA from Bassi Pathana, just joined the AAP.
