Reluctantly, Sita announced her resignation from the party’s primary membership, lamenting that she felt abandoned.
Sita Soren, a Jama lawmaker for Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), left the party and her position on Tuesday.
Sita, the party’s central general secretary, is Shibu Soren’s older daughter-in-law.
Citing her marginalization in the party, she presented her resignation to Shibu Soren, a member of the Rajya Sabha and her father-in-law.
With great sadness, I, Sita Soren, the Central General Secretary of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, as well as an active member and current MLA, submit my resignation to you. My family and I have suffered unceasing neglect ever since my late husband, Durga Soren, a brilliant revolutionary and a prominent warrior in the Jharkhand movement, passed away. We are alone because of the party and family members. For me, it has been excruciatingly difficult. The letter stated, “I had hoped that the situation would improve with time, but regrettably it did not happen.”
“My late husband’s courage, effort, devotion, and leadership skills allowed him to turn the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha into a fantastic celebration that is no longer there. Sita’s resignation letter, written in Hindi, stated, “I feel deeply saddened to see that the party has now gone into the hands of those whose vision and objectives do not match our values and ideals.”
Sita also stated in her letter of resignation that she was left with no choice but to step down.
“Sadly, despite Shri Shibu Soren’s (Guruji Baba) ceaseless efforts, which he made to keep us all together, his efforts were equally unsuccessful. It has just came to my attention that my family and I are the target of a complex plot. I’m really depressed. I have made up my mind to leave this family and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. I’m leaving my primary membership as a result. Please take my resignation, please. I will always be appreciative of the celebration and you. I will always send you my warmest regards,” she wrote in her letter of resignation.
