When Cameron Diaz revealed that she had become a mother for the second time, it shocked her fans. In 2019, she and Benji Madden welcomed their first child.
In an Instagram post on Friday, Cameron Diaz and her husband Benji Madden declared the arrival of their “awesome” baby boy, Cardinal. According to a recent People article, Cameron, who turned 51 in August 2023, is happy to be a member of a family of four with Benji, 45, and their two children, son Cardinal, whose precise birthdate is unknown, and daughter Raddix, who was born in 2019 through surrogacy.
“They (Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden) were always hoping for a second baby, because they love being parents… Cameron wanted to be a mom for years,” an insider told the site. She becomes rather emotional when discussing the arduous path to motherhood. She is so grateful to have two kids at this point.
Benji, Cameron’s musician husband, and she announced on Friday that they were “blessed and grateful” to have a newborn boy join their family. The couple shared a joint Instagram post announcing the birth of their baby.
“We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our son, Cardinal Madden,” the caption said. We are all really glad he is here as he is amazing! We won’t be sharing any photos of the child because of his safety and privacy, but he’s very adorable. We are incredibly appreciative and fortunate. From our family to yours, many love and blessings…”
