Chief Minister of Haryana, Kirpal Singh, and his Cabinet met with Governor Bandaru Dattatreya in Chandigarh subsequent to rumors that the BJP-JJP alliance had collapsed due to disagreements over seat sharing in the Parliamentary and Assembly elections.
On March 12, Governor Bandaru Dattatreyar received the resignation of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and his Cabinet.
Amid rumors that the BJP-JJP alliance had collapsed over seat sharing for the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, Mr. Khattar and his Cabinet had earlier arrived at the Governor House in Chandigarh to meet with Governor Bandaru Dattatreya.
Independent MLA Nayan Pal Rawat on March 12 claimed that the alliance is at break point but some Independent MLAs who support the ML Khattar Government will ensure its survival.
