The possibility of an alliance with the Trinamool Congress remains open: Jairam Ramesh

The Congress indicated that there is still room for an alliance with the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal and that no decision has been made on the matter, on the same day that Indian parties joined at the Jan Vishwas rally in Patna.

Despite not having a representative at the Patna event, Trinamool President Mamata Banerjee, whose party has already declared that it will run for all 42 seats in the State, has also stated that this does not signify a permanent split from the INDIA bloc.

Jairam Ramesh, general secretary of the Congress, stated that Ms. Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, has demonstrated her “priority and intent” when she states that her goal as part of the INDIA alliance is to defeat the BJP. In Gwalior for the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is Mr. Ramesh.
