IPL 2024: Get the latest live score updates between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru from M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Monday.

RCB vs. PBKS Live Score, IPL2024: Punjab Kings’ 176 for six was based primarily on the pragmatic approach of captain Shikhar Dhawan, while the bowlers for Royal Challengers Bangalore acclimatized to a Chinnaswamy Stadium surface that provided them with a springboard bounce on Monday.

The Kings were led by Dhawan (45, 37b), Jitesh Sharma (27, 20b), and Prabhsimran Singh (25, 17b) when the Royal Challengers chose to bowl first on a wicket with patches of green.

Glenn Maxwell and Mohammed Siraj both claimed a wicket for the RCB.

The Kings had a rough start as Jonny Bairstow left early because his visits to these parts, dating back to the World Cup last year, have grown more desolate than the Indian summer.

In the most recent example, Virat Kohli caught the Englishman’s badly performed close-to-the-body pull of bowler Siraj inside the covers.

However, after falling down 17 for 1, the visitors were able to recover some ground thanks to Dhawan and Prabhsimran, who skillfully handled the surface and the RCB spinners to score 55 runs off of 38 balls.

Even though Dhawan’s innings were not particularly smooth, he had enough bounce to take advantage of loose deliveries. One such delivery was a length ball on the off-stump from left-arm spinner Mayank Dagar, which he lofted over the long-on boundary for a six.

Indeed, the bowlers for the Royal Challenge Bangalore (RCB), particularly the formidable Yash Dayal (1/23), did a commendable job of tying him down with deliveries that darted in to him from just short of decent length.

The most notable example of Prabhsimran’s aggressive tendencies was evident when he hit Cameron Green with a flipped six that traveled 90 meters over mid-wicket for a maximum.

However, just as the partnership was beginning to take shape, Prabhsimran attempted to draw Maxwell, but stumper Anuj Rawat easily grabbed a weak top edge.

When Rawat latches onto a wayward heave outside the off-stump by Liam Livingstone off Alzarri Joseph in the final delivery of the 12th over, he quickly doubles his total number of catches.

However, Dhawan scored in the very next ball, dealing a further blow to the Punjab team.
