Asian Champions League quarterfinal first leg ends in a loss for Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr.

After serving his ban, Cristiano Ronaldo was unable to stop Al-Nassr from losing 1-0 to Al-Ain in the first leg of their Asian Champions League quarterfinal.

On March 4, in the first leg of their Asian Champions League quarterfinal, Al-Nassr lost 1-0 to Al-Ain despite Cristiano Ronaldo’s return from suspension.

The Moroccan striker Soufiane Rahimi’s goal in the first half gave former winners Al-Ain the lead heading into Monday’s second leg in Riyadh.

Ronaldo was in good spirits despite having been suspended from the Saudi Pro League on Thursday for allegedly making an aggressive gesture against Al-Shabab in the previous game.

In a video that seemed to be directed at Al-Shabab supporters screaming the name of Ronaldo’s longtime adversary, Lionel Messi, the player is seen cupping his ear and repeatedly thrusting his palm forward near his groin.
