ECI sends notices for remarks disparaging women to Supriya Shrinate of the Congress and Dilip Ghosh of the BJP.

The election panel deemed Ghosh’s and Shrinate’s comments about Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Kangana Ranaut to be “undignified and in bad taste.”

In response to statements made by BJP leader Dilip Ghosh against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Congress politician Supriya Shrinate on BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate Kangana Ranaut, respectively, the Election Commission of India on Wednesday issued show-cause letters to both parties.
The election panel deemed Ghosh’s and Shrinate’s comments about Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Kangana Ranaut to be “undignified and in bad taste.”
